About This Wheel

Hold an AR23 up next to a stock muscle-car wheel and you immediately see why this design has been in the catalog as long as it has. It's a flat-faced 5-spoke with straight, slightly tapered arms — pure 1970s American muscle geometry, the kind you saw on Trans-Am cars and pro-touring G-bodies. The center pad is recessed enough to clear a billet cap, and the spoke faces stay clean rather than getting busy with cuts. The black finish darkens the whole face and lets the spoke silhouette do the work, which is exactly what a wheel like this needs. Against red, orange, white, or yellow muscle paint it gives that period-correct blacked-out drag-strip stance; against silver or charcoal it disappears just enough to let the body lines lead.
