Rim financing lets you take home a new set of wheels and drive out of the shop without paying the full price up front. Road Runner Wheels & Tires offers five different rim-financing programs — Acima, Koalafi, American First Finance, Progressive Leasing, and Snap Finance — plus a traditional credit application. This guide explains how rim financing works, which program fits which credit situation, how monthly payments break down, and what to bring to the shop when you apply. Every program below is available on wheels, tires, lift kits, and installation labor.

Rim & wheel financing in Marietta & Atlanta

Road Runner Wheels & Tires is the local rim and wheel financing shop for Marietta and the greater Atlanta metro — Kennesaw, Smyrna, Roswell, Sandy Springs, Cobb County and beyond. Apply online in minutes or walk into our shop at 1585 Roswell Rd, Marietta, GA, get an instant lease-to-own decision, and drive out the same day on a new set of wheels and tires. Every financing program below is available for same-day install at our Marietta location or shipped nationwide.

What is rim financing?

Rim financing (also called wheel financing, tire financing, or rims-and-tires financing) is a payment program that lets you split the cost of a new set of wheels across weekly, biweekly, or monthly installments instead of paying in full at checkout. It works exactly like leasing a car — you make an initial payment at the shop, take the wheels home, and finish paying over a fixed term (usually 90 days for early buyout, or 12–24 months for full lease-to-own).

The financing partner (Acima, Koalafi, AFF, Progressive, or Snap) buys the wheels on your behalf and leases them to you. You own them outright at the end of the term — or earlier if you exercise the early-purchase option. Because it's technically a lease-to-own arrangement (not a loan), most programs approve applicants with no credit, low credit, or damaged credit — the classic "buy rims with no credit needed" or "finance wheels with bad credit" search is exactly what these programs are designed for.

The 5 rim financing programs we offer

We keep multiple financing partners on file because no single program fits every applicant. If one declines, we route the application to the next — you only fill out one form.

Program Credit needed Approval amount Early buyout Best for
Acima No credit needed · SSN or ITIN Up to $4,000 90 days Fastest approval, most flexible
Koalafi No credit needed Up to $7,500 90 days Higher approval ceiling · payments reported to TransUnion
American First Finance All credit types Up to $5,000 Varies Damaged credit, second-chance financing
Progressive Leasing No credit needed* Up to $5,000 90 days Largest LTO provider · instant decision
Snap Finance All credit types Up to $5,000 100 days Perfect credit not required

Which rim financing program should you pick?

If you have no credit history or are new to credit: Start with Acima or Koalafi. Both require no credit needed and approve based on basic identity + income verification. Koalafi reports payments to TransUnion, so if you use it responsibly you're also building credit while you buy your rims.

If you have damaged credit (bankruptcy, collections, low score): American First Finance and Snap Finance both specialize in second-chance financing. They evaluate applicants on income and banking history rather than pulling a hard credit report.

If you want the largest approval amount: Koalafi's $7,500 ceiling covers most premium wheel + tire packages including 22-inch, 24-inch, and 26-inch forged builds. Larger single-purchase amounts than any other partner on our roster.

If you want the fastest decision: Progressive Leasing returns instant application decisions in seconds. Acima's mobile approval is a close second.

If you're ready to apply to any of them: Use our single Credit Application — one form, we submit to all five partners in order of best fit.

How much do the payments actually cost?

Payment amounts depend on cart total, the specific lease term you choose, and the state you live in — every LTO program computes them differently and the exact number appears during the application flow. But here's what the shape of a typical payment looks like on a $2,000 wheel + tire package:

  • Initial payment at shop: $50 — $150 (varies by program and cart)
  • Weekly payments (12-month term): ~$40 — $60/week
  • Biweekly payments: ~$80 — $120 every two weeks
  • 90-day early buyout: Pay off cart total + small early-buyout fee (typically 5–10% of cart) and own the rims outright
  • Full 12-month term: Total paid is typically 1.8× – 2.4× the cart price — this is the trade for no credit needed

The 90-day early buyout is almost always the cheapest option and we strongly recommend it if you can swing the lump sum. If you can't, the full 12-month lease-to-own gets you the rims without a credit hit — a fair trade if you needed the wheels now.

What can you finance?

Every rim-financing program on our roster covers:

  • Wheels and rims in every size from 15-inch to 30-inch
  • Tires — all-terrain, mud-terrain, highway, performance, low-profile, off-road
  • Complete wheel + tire packages (mounted, balanced, ready to bolt on)
  • Dually 6-wheel packages for F-350/F-450/F-550, Ram 3500/4500/5500, Silverado/Sierra 3500HD
  • Lift kits and leveling kits from BDS, ReadyLIFT, Rough Country and more
  • Professional installation labor (mounting, balancing, alignment)
  • Nitrogen fill, road hazard warranty, torque check service

Everything in the cart at checkout goes into the financing application — you're not limited to "just wheels" or "just tires."

What you need to apply

  • Valid government-issued photo ID (driver's license, state ID, or passport)
  • Social Security Number or ITIN
  • Active checking account (routing + account number)
  • Verifiable source of income (job, self-employment, benefits, retirement)
  • Email address and mobile phone number
  • You must be 18 or older (19 in Alabama or Nebraska)

All five programs use a fully online application — you can apply from your phone in the shop parking lot or in advance from home. Decisions typically return in seconds; funded in minutes.

Rim financing FAQ

Can I finance rims with no credit?

Yes. Acima, Koalafi, Progressive Leasing, and Snap Finance all approve applicants with no credit history — they underwrite based on income, banking, and identity rather than a credit report. American First Finance also approves no-credit and damaged-credit applicants. If one program declines, we route the same application to the next.

Can I finance rims with bad credit?

Yes. Because the LTO programs are technically lease-to-own contracts rather than loans, they don't require a minimum credit score. Applicants with bankruptcy, collections, or low FICO scores are still eligible if income and banking check out.

Does rim financing affect my credit score?

The application itself is a soft inquiry on most programs — no hard credit hit. Koalafi reports on-time payments to TransUnion, which can build credit over time. The other programs don't report to bureaus by default. If you exercise the 90-day early buyout, most programs charge no lease fees and it's essentially a same-as-cash purchase.

What's the difference between rim financing and buy-now-pay-later?

Buy-now-pay-later (BNPL) programs like Affirm and Klarna are short-term installment loans — typically 4 to 6 payments over a few weeks — and they run a credit check. Rim financing on our roster is lease-to-own: longer terms (up to 24 months), no credit needed, and you can walk away after the initial payment if the wheels don't work out (return the rims, no further payments). Different tool, different use case.

Can I finance just tires, or does it have to be wheels + tires?

You can finance any combination — wheels only, tires only, wheels + tires, or add lift kits and installation. Every LTO partner treats the cart total as the lease amount, so you build whatever you need in the cart first, then apply.

How fast can I drive away with new rims after applying?

Most programs return an instant decision — seconds to minutes. Once approved you make the initial payment, we mount and balance the wheels (usually same day if you're in the shop), and you drive out. For online orders shipping to your home, the wheels ship as soon as the initial payment clears — typically same or next business day.

Can I finance rims online without visiting the shop?

Yes. Apply for financing online, we approve, ship the wheels to any US address, and you pay installments over your chosen term. Installation is optional — bring them to any local wheel/tire shop or install yourself.

What if I want to return the rims?

Because it's a lease-to-own contract, you can return the wheels to the leasing company at any time and stop future payments — you keep what you've already paid but you're not on the hook for the balance. Terms vary by program; read the specific vendor's lease agreement during application.

Ready to finance your rims?

Apply once — we submit to all five partners in order of best fit. Get an instant decision and drive out with new wheels the same day. Or call us at (678) 400-6467 and we'll walk you through the options.
