Chevrolet NOVA Tires — Fitment by Year

Between 1968 and 1974, Chevy built the NOVA as a solid, no-nonsense car — and I see plenty of them still on the road around here. The OE size is 215/70-14, and we keep those in stock along with modern upgrades that'll fit the 5x120 bolt pattern and 70.30mm hub bore. I had a '71 come in last month looking for something with a bit more grip than what came stock, and that's where we landed on a couple of options.

When you're looking at NOVA fitment, you've got two paths. There's the straight OE replacement — I run those for folks who want to stick with what Chevy engineered for the car. Then there's the upgrade route, where we can go wider or taller depending on your rim, as long as we stay true to the load rating and keep the speedometer honest. The 14-inch rim is what most of these cars came with, though some owners have swapped to 26-inch for that custom look. I'll be straight with you — we talk through which direction makes sense for how you drive it.

Once you pick your tire, my crew handles the full install in-house. We road-force balance every one, check your TPMS if it's equipped, verify the hub bore sits right, and torque the lugs to spec. I'm bilingual, so if you want to talk through it in Spanish or English, no problem. We've been here in Marietta for fifteen years doing this work the same way — no shortcuts, no outsourcing. Walk-ins are welcome any day.

We mount these for folks across Marietta and East Cobb, plus folks driving in from Sandy Springs and Kennesaw. If you want to spread the cost, we offer financing through Synchrony on orders $199 and up, and Acima lease-to-own starting at $10. Give us a call at (678) 400-6467, walk in at 1585 Roswell Rd, or book online below.

What we double-check on Chevrolet NOVA

  • Load range matters more than tread pattern. We confirm the OE load index (often E or F on heavier trims) before recommending any oversize fitment.
  • Bigger meats often need a leveling kit or trim work to clear — we'll tell you straight if your size doesn't fit your suspension as-is.
  • TPMS reset done on every install. Bring the lug key if you have aftermarket locks.

Common questions about Chevrolet NOVA tires

What's the OE tire size for a 1968–1974 Chevrolet NOVA?
215/70-14 is the original size. That's what I see on most of the classics rolling through here. If you're upgrading, we can talk about wider or taller options that'll fit your 14-inch rim and keep the load rating safe.
Will these tires fit my NOVA?
Long as your NOVA is 1968 to 1974, we're working with a 5x120 bolt pattern and 70.30mm hub bore. I'll verify the fitment when you call or come in — takes two minutes and saves headaches.
Do you install tires same-day?
Yeah, we do. I run road-force balance on every tire, check your TPMS, and torque everything to spec. Most installs are done while you wait. Walk-ins are fine.
Can I finance tires at Road Runner?
We've got Synchrony Car Care (6-month promo on orders $199 and up) and Acima lease-to-own starting at $10. Either way, you drive out the same day.

Built and run by Max Caba and a small team of techs.

We don't outsource installs and we don't sell tires we wouldn't put on our own trucks. Every wheel goes on with a torque wrench and a road-force balance, every TPMS sensor gets reset before you drive off, and every fitment question gets answered by someone who'll be here next week when you call back.

Fifteen years of doing it the same way — that's the whole pitch. We're a small shop on Roswell Road, not a chain, not a call center. Walk in and you'll meet the same techs who'll touch your truck.
