Common questions
What does it cost to rent wheels and tires?
The initial Acima payment is $10 to start a new lease agreement. Your scheduled payment amount depends on the wheels and tires you choose, your approval limit, and your pay cycle (weekly, biweekly, or monthly). Acima shows the exact payment schedule before you sign.
Do I need good credit?
No. Acima does not perform a traditional credit check. Approval uses non-credit factors. Customers with no credit history, limited credit, or past credit issues regularly get approved. Applying does not affect your credit score.
Can I apply with an ITIN instead of a Social Security number?
Yes. Acima accepts both SSN and ITIN. If you have an ITIN issued by the IRS, you apply the same way as an SSN holder.
How fast can I drive away with my wheels?
Same day. Online application takes about 60-90 seconds. Approval is typically within seconds. We mount, balance, TPMS-program, same-day on most in-stock fitments. Bring your vehicle in by mid-afternoon to be back on the road by closing.
What if I want to pay it off early?
Acima offers a 90-day early-purchase option (3 months in California) that lets you take ownership sooner at a lower total cost. The window begins the day you receive your merchandise. Specific terms are in your Acima lease agreement.
Is this a loan?
No. Acima is a lease-to-own program, not a loan or traditional financing. You lease the items from Acima and make scheduled payments toward eventual ownership. Lease-to-own is regulated differently than credit and Acima's reporting practices are described in your lease agreement at acima.com.
