We recently completed a wheel and tire build for a 2021 Toyota Tacoma that transforms the truck's on-road presence while maintaining serious off-road capability. The owner brought their Taco in looking for a setup that would handle both highway miles and rugged terrain, and we delivered exactly that. The combination of aggressive styling and genuine performance makes this build a standout in the truck community.

For the wheels, we installed Fuel 1PC D668 Nitro in Gunmetal, sized at 17x9 with a +1 offset on a 6x5.5 bolt pattern. The D668 is a legendary design in off-road circles, and the Gunmetal finish gives the Tacoma a modern, aggressive look without sacrificing functionality. We paired these with Nitto Ridge Grappler tires in 285/70-17—a tire that's earned its reputation for handling everything from daily driving to serious trail work. The Ridge Grappler's open shoulder design and aggressive tread pattern make it ideal for a truck like this, providing confident traction while still being composed on the street.
