Recoil Traction Bar Kit | Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra 2500 / 3500 HD (20-26)

Built for 2500/3500 HD owners who demand traction without sacrificing suspension travel — the BDS Recoil Traction Bar Kit controls axle wrap on hard launch, rock crawls, and load shifts while letting your rear suspension work freely. Heavy-wall steel construction and tunable internal compression springs load or unload while the truck sits, so you dial in grip without limiting wheel articulation.

Installed and serviced at Road Runner Wheels & Tires. Most kits go in the same day. Call (678) 400-6467 to schedule.

What you get

• 2-inch OD x 3/16-inch wall steel tubing — CNC-machined frame end and threaded axle mount built to handle repeated shock loads without deflection.
• Large-forged flex ends with dual-stage compression springs — rated for up to 15 degrees of misalignment in either direction, paired with UHMW polyurethane bearings for bind-free articulation.
• Adjustable internal compression springs — load or unload on the vehicle to fine-tune traction response without breaking bolts or disassembly.
• Full-float design — works with any lift height and preserves rear-suspension geometry across the range of wheel travel.

Why customers pick this at Road Runner

• Proven BDS engineering — same forged flex-end tech used on high-angle off-road rigs for over a decade.
• No suspension-travel penalty — unlike rigid bars, this traction bar lets your shocks and springs do their job on rough terrain.
• Tunable on the fly — adjust spring preload in your driveway; no return trips or field modifications needed.
• Professional install backed by warranty — our techs torque every fastener per BDS spec, and we warranty the work in writing.
