2.5 Inch Lift Kit | Jeep CJ5/CJ6 (76-81)

Built for CJ5 and CJ6 owners who want classic Jeep capability with a modern ride. This 2.5-inch lift kit raises your rig for up to 31" tire clearance while preserving the driveline geometry of your leaf-spring chassis. Front and rear Glide-Ride springs deliver a smooth, progressive rate whether you're loaded or light — perfect for trail duty or daily cruising.

Installed and serviced at Road Runner Wheels & Tires. Most kits go in the same day. Call (678) 400-6467 to schedule.

What you get up front

• Glide-Ride Leaf Springs — Multi-leaf progressive design with tapered leafs, anti-friction pads, and full military wrap around the spring eyes. Built for flex and smooth load-carrying without the harshness of a single-rate spring.
• New U-bolts — Hardware sized and spec'd for the lift geometry.

Out back

Glide-Ride Rear Leaf Springs — Matching rear springs give you consistent ride quality and 2.5" of lift, with the same triple-stage leaf design and protective wrapping as the front.

Pick your shocks

• BDS NX2 Nitro — Comfortable daily driver damping with reliable gas-shock performance at the best value.
• FOX 2.0 IFP — Premium internal floating-piston design for faster rebound control and confidence on technical terrain.

Important notes

• Maximum tire size supported is 31 x 10.5.
• Kit fits 1976–1981 CJ5 and CJ6 models.
