motegi-mr159-battle-v-gunzilla-w-machined-lip-stripe
Motegi MR159 BATTLE V — Gunzilla W Machined Lip Stripe

Pick one up and the first thing you notice is how the face carries itself — five pairs of spokes arranged in a V-pattern that draws your eye outward toward the lip, where that machined stripe catches light like a scalpel edge against the dark Gunzilla body. It's not a busy wheel. The negative space between spoke pairs is clean and deliberate, which means brake hardware shows through well — a detail that matters on a car with big rotors. The 17x8.5 proportion gives the face enough real estate to read boldly without looking bloated on a sport compact or a mid-size sedan. Pairs especially well with dark grey, matte black, or deep blue body colors, though I've seen it work hard on white too.

Specifications

Diameter x Width

17" x 8.5"

Bolt Pattern

5x114.3

Offset

ET+35mm

Backspacing

6.13"

Hub Bore

72.56mm

Load Rating

1560 lbs

Construction

Flow-Formed

Material

Aluminum alloy

Finish

GUNZILLA W MACHINED LIP STRIPE

Manufacturer Part Number

MR159AD17851235

Fitment

This wheel runs the 5x114.3 bolt pattern, which covers a range of half-ton trucks and SUVs depending on hub bore and offset. ET+35mm offset is typical for stock-height fitments; leveled and lifted trucks may want different offset/backspacing combinations to clear larger tires. A hub-centric ring is recommended when the wheel hub bore is larger than the vehicle hub.

About the GUNZILLA W MACHINED LIP STRIPE Finish

Motegi Racing has been producing wheels under the TSW umbrella for decades, with a consistent focus on accessible performance fitments for sport compacts and imports. The flow-formed construction on the MR159 is worth calling out — the barrel is spun under pressure after casting, which tightens the aluminum grain structure and lets engineers trim weight without sacrificing load rating. It's a legitimate manufacturing step, not a marketing line.

About Motegi

Motegi produces wheels distributed nationally through trusted vendor channels.
